Chief Joe 12/27

Most trails at Chief Joe were groomed again this morning. Should be great conditions for classic and skate on the ski trails. Gibbons pass road should be good for classic, skate, fat bike and dog sled, but the classic tracks tend to get wiped out by snowmobiles, so if you want tracks on it, get there soon.

Chief Joe grooming report – 12/21/2018

All of the ski trails were groomed today, some with the snowcat from Lost Trail, and some by our volunteer snowmobile grooming crew. Gibbons pass road was groomed yesterday, it got a few inches of snow on it overnight, probably not good for skate skiing, but it’s in great shape for fat biking, and it should be groomed again soon.
Banshee, Joseph Creek and middle fork are only 5 feet wide right now, and do not have tracks set.

It should be great conditions for skiing at Chief Joseph Pass all weekend and over the holiday week.
