Skalkaho Pass 2/12/20
The bitterroot ridge runners snowmobile club will be grooming Skalkaho Pass today. It’s a great opportunity if your looking to ski or fat bike close to town this afternoon. If going very long distances, on expertly groomed trails, with hardly anyone around is your thing, there is not be a better spot anywhere in the country than Skalkaho Pass. There is 30+ miles of groomed trail, with 5000 feet of climbing, and on a weekday evening you might not see anyone but the squirrels.
If you enjoy using the groomed trails around the valley, please consider joining the cross country ski club, the snowmobile club, or coming to the trail work day at Chief Joseph Pass this Saturday at 10 am. The amazing groomed trail system around the valley would not be possible without the support of our volunteers.
