Como, 12/31

Upper road and Middle road at Como were groomed New Year’s Eve. The trails are still a little rough(I’d give tonight’s grooming a C), but it’s still better than any time last year, and should be good conditions for skate skiing tomorrow. No classic tracks yet, but that is in the plan if we get more snow.

Como, 12/30/24

Yesterday’s storm left enough snow at Como for us to start grooming last night! Conditions today will not be great, probably not even good, the trail surface is very rough but we have a good base to work on once we get more snow.

Chief Joseph Pass 12/20/2024

Ski trails at Chief Joseph Pass are being groomed this morning. Most trails are being groomed with a cat by Lost Trail. The lower trails(Banshee, Joseph Creek, Middle Fork) do not have enough snow for the cat yet, but our snowmobile grooming crew is going to start working on them today. Do not expect the lower trails to be good skiing yet, today’s grooming there is to establish a base for the rest of the season.

This should be the start of our regular grooming schedule. Trails are generally groomed Thursday, and Saturday or Sunday. Trail grooming may happen more often or be delayed due to storms.

There is not enough snow to groom at Como yet, but we are ready to groom there as soon as there is a foot of snow.
